Jani King GB Limited have recently taken the step of inviting KBS Corporate, one of the largest independent business brokers in the UK, to provide an independent view on the possible value of its franchisee’s cleaning businesses.

Commenting, Lee Richie of KBS corporate explained "We have taken a look at the Jani King business model and with our experience of valuing cleaning companies we are able to indicate a valuation range. If a franchisee built up a business of £2.0 million turnover with a profit of £300,000 then we would place a valuation of between £1.0 to £1.2 million on that Jani King Franchisee’s business"

In addition Lee observed "We have first hand experience of selling cleaning companies and a profitable business with the right structure, profitability and growth potential is a real asset. A recent example was a cleaning/security business that we successfully sold on behalf of a client where the asking price was £5 million"
